Talkwalker pricing: quote only, and what to expect

Talkwalker pricing is not published. Three quote-only plans, now owned by Hootsuite. What each tier adds, a reported price range and published alternatives.

Talkwalker pricing is not published. Its pricing page lists three plans, Core, Analyze and Business, each sold by custom quote, and each with unlimited users. There is no self-serve price, no trial and no monthly option shown.

There are two other routes worth knowing. Hootsuite bought Talkwalker in April 2024 and now builds its listening into Hootsuite plans, which do have published prices. And Talkwalker Alerts, the free email alert tool, still exists.

Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 4 October 2026.

Talkwalker pricing by plan

PlanPriceWhat the page says it adds
CoreCustom quote"Ideal volume for essential social listening with non-sampled results", unlimited users

BusinessCustom quote6x Core's volume, 3x more topics, filters and channels, more history, more workspaces

Core's description lists 150 million data sources, 30+ social platforms, 187 languages and 196 countries, plus AI features for peak detection, forecasting and summaries. The page is now headed "Lumen by Talkwalker".

What actually sets the price

Because every plan includes unlimited users, a Talkwalker quote is not about seats. It is about how much data you pull.

Results volume. The tiers are defined as multiples of Core's "non-sampled results". A broad query on a popular brand burns through volume fast. A narrow query on a niche B2B name barely touches it.

Topics, filters and channels. Analyze adds 25, Business triples Core's allowance. If you want each competitor, product line and campaign tracked separately, count each one.

History. Business includes "additional historical data". If you need to look back before your start date, that pushes you up a tier.

Workspaces and governance. Business adds more workspaces and enterprise controls, which matter for agencies and multi-brand companies.

The reported price range

Talkwalker states no figure. Vendr, which publishes software prices from purchases it has seen, shows a median of $13,298 a year for Talkwalker, with a low of $12,260 and a high of $15,860. Vendr does not say how many purchases that covers or over what period, so read it as a rough guide, not a quote.

At that median you are paying a little over $1,100 a month. Compare that with Brand24's top published plan, Business, at $599 a month billed annually.

Talkwalker through Hootsuite

Hootsuite says listening is built into its tiered plans, with deeper features on higher plans, and brands it as Hootsuite Listening powered by Talkwalker. Its plans are priced per user, billed annually:

Hootsuite planPer user a month (annual billing)Listening on the plan
Standard$99Social listening and competitive benchmarking included
Professional$199Adds Quick Search of 30 days of conversations
Advanced$399Adds approvals and message routing
EnterpriseCustomAdvanced listening with 13 months of history

Hootsuite offers a 14 day trial with no card. Its FAQ says monthly billing exists and costs more per user, but the page does not show that price. The full breakdown is on our Hootsuite pricing page.

The catch is the split. The deep Talkwalker product sits on Hootsuite Enterprise, which is quote only again. Standard and Professional give you lighter listening inside a publishing tool. For two people on Professional you would pay $398 a month on annual billing.

How to get a fair Talkwalker quote

  1. Write down your queries before the demo. Your brand, products, competitors and campaign terms. Topics and volume are what the tiers are built on.
  2. Know whether you need history. If you only need mentions from your start date forward, say so and stay off Business.
  3. Do not negotiate seats. Users are unlimited on every plan, so spend your negotiating effort on volume and topics instead.
  4. Ask for both routes. Get a direct Talkwalker quote and a Hootsuite quote for the same need, then compare.
  5. Ask what happens when you exceed volume. Get the overage rule in writing before you sign, not after the first busy month.
  6. Bring published prices. Brand24 and Awario put their numbers on the page. A quote several times higher should come with coverage you have actually tested.

Free and published-price alternatives

Awario$29 a month annually, $49 monthlyCheap listening with 30,000 mentions a month
Brand24$199 a month annually, $249 monthlyMid-market listening with sentiment and AI insights

Talkwalker Alerts deserves a proper test before anything paid. It covers news, blogs, discussion forums and Twitter in 22 languages, can deliver "as it happens", and sends to any email address.

If you are shortlisting enterprise listening, the other big names are quote only too. See Brandwatch pricing and Meltwater pricing for what they disclose. For published prices, start with Brand24 pricing, and our Talkwalker alternatives page compares the wider field.

Verdict

Talkwalker is enterprise listening priced by data volume, and the purchases Vendr has seen sit between about $12,000 and $16,000 a year. That is reasonable for a brand with heavy conversation volume and an analyst to read it. For a small team, start with Talkwalker Alerts, then Brand24 or a Hootsuite plan, and only ask for a Talkwalker quote when those run out of depth.

Questions people ask

Is Talkwalker part of Hootsuite?

Yes. Hootsuite's listening page says it acquired Talkwalker in April 2024 and now sells listening as Talkwalker by Hootsuite. Talkwalker still runs its own site and pricing page.

Does Talkwalker have a free trial?

Its pricing page offers a demo and a custom quote, not a trial. Hootsuite, which owns it, offers a 14 day trial with no card, and its plans include social listening.

Is Talkwalker Alerts really free?

Yes. You enter a query and an email address and get alerts for news, blogs, forums and Twitter results in 22 languages, with no paid plan attached.

Why does Talkwalker not publish prices?

Its plans are sized by data volume, topics and history rather than seats, and every plan includes unlimited users. That makes each quote depend on your queries, which is how most enterprise listening tools sell.
