Most Moz alternatives are about getting more for your money rather than paying less. Moz Pro Standard is $99 a month on monthly billing for one user, three tracked sites and 300 tracked keywords. Semrush, Ahrefs and SE Ranking give you larger limits for $30 to $40 more, while Mangools and Serpstat cost less for a smaller toolset.

Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 4 October 2026.

Two details are easy to miss. The annual figures are labelled as billed for your first year, and the page does not say what renewal costs. And extra seats are $49 a month each on any plan. On the day we checked, a banner offered up to 40% off with the offer ending that day, so the number you see may differ.

Why people look for Moz alternatives

Limits per dollar. 300 tracked keywords on Standard runs out quickly once you track a few locations or a second site. SE Ranking's Core plan tracks 2,000 keywords daily for $129 a month.

People cost extra. Standard plus two extra seats is $197 a month on monthly billing. Large includes three users for $299, but that is a big jump for a small team.

No paid search. Moz Pro is an organic search tool. If you also want competitors' paid keywords and ad history, SpyFu is built around them and Semrush sells a separate Advertising toolkit.

The fair side: Domain Authority is still the number much of the link building and digital PR world quotes, the MozBar is a habit for a lot of people, and Moz Pro now bundles AI visibility tracking from Standard upwards (150 prompts and three dashboards). For a small site, Standard is a reasonable tool.

Semrush, for breadth

Semrush's SEO plan is $139 a month billed monthly or $117.33 billed annually, for five websites and 500 keywords tracked daily, with site audit, keyword research and competitor analysis. Extra users start at $45 a month. There is also a free plan with 10 reports a day, which is enough to test it properly. The detail is in Semrush vs Moz.

Pick Semrush if you want the broadest suite from one vendor and can live with the bill once you add people and toolkits.

Ahrefs, for links

Ahrefs Lite is $129 a month on monthly billing for five projects and 750 tracked keywords updated weekly, with one user. Extra users on Lite are $40 a month each, up to two. Standard at $249 adds 2,000 tracked keywords and Content Explorer. Ahrefs points people to its free tier rather than a trial, which gives site owners limited Site Explorer and Site Audit. There is also a $29 Starter plan, but its limits are not on the pricing page. See Ahrefs vs Moz.

Pick Ahrefs if links are the job: link building, digital PR, or picking apart a competitor's link profile.

SE Ranking, for tracking volume

Core is $129 a month billed monthly or $103.20 billed annually, with 10 projects, 2,000 keywords tracked daily and one seat. Extra seats start at $16. Growth is $279 monthly or $223.20 annually with three seats and 5,000 keywords. The trial is 14 days with no card. Our SE Ranking alternatives page covers the other direction.

Pick SE Ranking if rank tracking is the heart of your Moz use and 300 keywords stopped being enough.

Mangools, for simple keyword research

Mangools showed us euro prices: Basic is €37.70 a month billed annually (€452.40 a year), Premium €52.70 and Agency €97.70. It is five small tools, led by KWFinder for keyword research and SERPWatcher for rank tracking. Basic tracks 200 keywords with weekly updates and allows no extra seats. There is a 48 hour money-back guarantee rather than a trial.

Pick Mangools if you are one person researching keywords for a few sites and want the gentlest learning curve.

Serpstat, for small teams on a budget

Individual is $50 a month on monthly billing for five projects and 100 searches a day, with no extra users or API. Team is $100 a month and includes three users and API access. The page says annual billing saves $228 a year on Individual. The 7 day trial takes a $1 card verification and renews automatically unless you cancel.

Pick Serpstat if a small team needs several logins and an API without paying for a big-brand suite.

The free route

Google Search Console shows your own site's queries, clicks and positions. Ahrefs' free Webmaster Tools covers your own backlinks and a site audit. Moz's free account keeps limited MozBar and Link Explorer access. For a one-site business, those three cover most of what Moz Pro was used for. They tell you little about competitors.

What Figo does not replace

Ours, so judge accordingly. Figo is not an SEO suite. It has no keyword research, no site audit, no backlink data and no Domain Authority. If you do SEO work, it does not replace Moz.

It overlaps in one corner. Figo tracks competitors' Google keyword positions and estimated organic traffic each week, alongside their new pages, ads, pricing and reviews, and sends a briefing on Monday. If your Moz login mostly exists to check what rivals rank for, $49 a month for three competitors may be enough. If you optimise your own site, keep an SEO tool.

When Moz Pro is still the right choice

  • You work in Domain Authority. Link sellers, PR outreach lists and plenty of clients still quote DA, and Moz is where it comes from.
  • Your site is small. Three sites and 300 keywords cover a lot of local businesses, and Standard at $99 a month is fair for that.
  • You want AI visibility prompts in the same subscription. Moz bundles them from Standard.

Every tier and add-on is broken down in Moz Pro pricing.

The short answer

For more tracking at similar money, SE Ranking. For backlinks, Ahrefs. For one vendor that covers the most ground, Semrush. For cheap and simple, Mangools or Serpstat. If DA is the currency your clients deal in, stay on Moz.

Questions people ask

Is there a free Moz alternative?

For your own site, Google Search Console and Ahrefs' free Webmaster Tools cover queries, positions and backlinks at no cost. Moz also offers a free community account with limited access to MozBar, Keyword Explorer and Link Explorer.

Can I check Domain Authority without paying for Moz Pro?

Yes, in limited form, through Moz's free account and the MozBar. Other tools use their own scores, such as Ahrefs Domain Rating and Semrush Authority Score, and those numbers are not interchangeable with DA.

What is the cheapest Moz Pro alternative?

Mangools Basic at €37.70 a month billed annually, or Serpstat Individual at $50 a month billed monthly. Both cost less than Moz Standard and both do less than the big suites.

Does Moz Pro charge for extra users?

Yes. Extra seats are $49 a month each on any plan. Medium includes two users and Large includes three.
