The best Talkwalker alternatives in 2026
Talkwalker now belongs to Hootsuite and every plan is quote only. Here are the Talkwalker alternatives with real prices, the free options, and who each one suits.
Talkwalker alternatives fall into three groups: other enterprise listening suites sold on quote, self-serve tools with the price on the page, and free alerts. Which group you need depends on why you are leaving: the price you cannot see, the volume you are paying for, or the Hootsuite change.
Talkwalker is now part of Hootsuite. Talkwalker's own press release of 8 April 2024 said it was "set to be acquired by Hootsuite", and Hootsuite's listening page says "We acquired Talkwalker in April of 2024". The talkwalker.com pricing page still sells three plans of its own, Core, Analyze and Business, all with unlimited users and none with a price.
Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 4 October 2026.
Why people look for a Talkwalker alternative
You cannot see the price. Every plan says "Get a custom quote". The tiers differ mainly by volume of non-sampled results (Analyze is 2x Core, Business is 6x), so the number depends on how much conversation you expect to pull. Our Talkwalker pricing page covers what drives the quote.
It is sized for big volume. Talkwalker says it covers 150 million data sources and more than 30 social platforms in 187 languages. That breadth is the point for a global brand. For a business that gets twenty mentions a week, you are paying for coverage you will never fill.
The Hootsuite question. Hootsuite now sells listening inside its own plans. If you already pay for Hootsuite, you may be buying the same engine twice. If you do not, some teams would rather not be pulled towards a publishing suite they did not choose.
You only needed alerts. Plenty of Talkwalker accounts are really doing the job of a keyword alert. Talkwalker's own free Alerts product, or Google Alerts, may cover it.

Brandwatch, the like-for-like swap
Brandwatch is the closest match to Talkwalker in scope: consumer intelligence for researchers and analysts, plus social media management and influencer products. It is part of Cision. Like Talkwalker it publishes no price; its pricing page is three product areas and a demo form.
Pick Brandwatch if you need research-grade listening and the budget question is which enterprise vendor, not whether to have one. Our Brandwatch alternatives page covers its own trade-offs.
Meltwater, if PR is half the job
Meltwater's plans (Starter, Pro, Enterprise and Agency) are all priced on request, and its pricing page says the minimum contract is typically 12 months. Meltwater began as a media monitoring company and its suite still leans towards communications teams.
Pick Meltwater if your team reports on earned media as much as on social conversation.
Hootsuite, if you already publish there
Hootsuite's Standard plan is $99 per user a month and Professional is $199, both billed annually, and both include competitive benchmarking and some listening. Professional adds Quick Search across 30 days of conversations. The fuller listening product, with 13 months of history, alerts and scheduled reports, is on Enterprise, priced by quote.
Pick Hootsuite if your social team already lives in it and 30 days of search is enough. If you need deep listening, you are back to an Enterprise quote.
Brand24, the self-serve middle
Brand24 publishes everything. Individual is $199 a month billed annually ($249 monthly) for 3 keywords, 2,000 mentions a month and 1 user. Team is $299 annually ($349 monthly) for 7 keywords, 10,000 mentions and unlimited users. There is a 14 day trial with no card.
Pick Brand24 if you want sentiment and a broad source list without a sales process, and your volume fits its keyword limits.
Awario, the cheapest paid option
Awario's Starter plan is $29 a month billed annually or $49 monthly, for 3 topics with unlimited keywords in each and 30,000 new mentions a month. Pro is $89 annually ($149 monthly) for 15 topics and 10 team members. Its channel pages cover Reddit, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and news, and it includes Boolean search and sentiment. The trial gives you Starter without a card.
Pick Awario if you are a small team leaving Talkwalker mainly because of cost, and you can live with less source depth.
The free routes
Talkwalker Alerts is still free and separate from the paid platform: email alerts for news, blogs, discussion forums and Twitter in 22 languages, with an "as it happens" option. Google Alerts emails you when new Google Search results match a term. Neither does sentiment, dashboards or history.
F5Bot watches Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters for keywords. The free tier is for personal use only, with 5 keywords and up to a 2 hour delay; Silver at $9.99 a month adds keyword filtering and 20 keywords. More options are in our list of free social listening tools.
Pick the free routes if your mention volume is low and you need to hear about something, not analyse it.
If you bought Talkwalker to watch competitors
Some teams signed up to keep an eye on rivals and ended up with a share-of-voice chart. Mentions of a competitor tell you people are talking about them. They do not tell you what the competitor did: the new landing page, the price change, the ads they started running.
Figo is built for that second question. Ours, so judge accordingly. It checks each competitor once a week and reports new Google, Meta and TikTok ads, new and changed pages, pricing changes, Instagram and Facebook posts, Reddit threads that mention them, Google rankings and review counts, in a briefing every Monday. Starter is $49 a month for 3 competitors, Growth $99 for 8, Agency $249 for 20 across 5 client workspaces.
Figo is not a listening tool. It has no sentiment scoring, no news or broadcast coverage, no X, and nothing faster than a weekly check. If you need to know what the internet is saying about your brand today, keep a listening tool.
Choosing a Talkwalker alternative
- Global brand, research team, big volume: Brandwatch, or stay and negotiate.
- Comms team that lives on press coverage: Meltwater.
- Already on Hootsuite: check what your plan includes before buying anything else.
- Small team that needs a price on the page: Brand24, or Awario if budget is tight.
- A handful of mentions a month: Talkwalker Alerts plus Google Alerts, free. Our guide to brand monitoring shows how to set them up so they catch more.
- You were really watching competitors: a competitor monitor, not a listening suite.
