Hootsuite pricing in 2026: per-seat plans explained

Hootsuite pricing starts at $99 per user a month on annual billing and reaches $399 before Enterprise. Plans, seats, listening, the trial and cheaper tools.

Hootsuite pricing starts at $99 per user a month for Standard, then $199 for Professional and $399 for Advanced, all on annual billing. Enterprise is quoted. Monthly billing exists and costs more, but the plans page does not show the monthly price. Every plan is charged per seat, so the real number is the plan price times the number of people who log in.

Prices below were read from hootsuite.com/plans on 4 October 2026, and exclude taxes.

Hootsuite pricing by plan

PlanPer user a month (annual billing)Social accountsCompetitor benchmarkingListening
Standard$99Up to 10Up to 5 competitorsIncluded
Professional$199UnlimitedUp to 20 competitors30 days of Quick Search
Advanced$399UnlimitedAs ProfessionalAs Professional

Advanced adds the team features: approvals, message routing and team performance reports. Enterprise adds single sign-on and the full listening product with alerts and scheduled reports.

There is no free plan.

What three people pay

Because every seat costs the full plan price, team size moves the bill as much as plan choice does. On our arithmetic from the annual prices:

SeatsStandardProfessionalAdvanced
1$99$199$399
2$198$398$798
3$297$597$1,197

Multiply by 12 for the annual invoice: three people on Professional is about $7,164 a year before tax.

What each Hootsuite tier limits in practice

Standard, $99. Up to 10 social accounts, which covers one brand on most networks. It includes social listening and benchmarking against five competitors. For a single business with one person running social, this is enough.

Professional, $199. Unlimited accounts, benchmarking against up to 20 competitors, Quick Search across 30 days of conversations and AI trend forecasting up to 90 days. The jump is worth it for agencies or multi-brand teams who outgrow 10 accounts. It is not worth it just for the extra competitors unless you really track more than five.

Advanced, $399. The same reach as Professional with workflow on top. If you do not need content approvals or message routing between people, you do not need Advanced.

Listening and the Talkwalker question

Hootsuite says it acquired Talkwalker in April 2024, and its listening page describes Hootsuite Listening as powered by Talkwalker. On the plans page, Standard and Professional include listening, with Professional's Quick Search looking back 30 days. The advanced listening product, with 13 months of history and alerts, is Enterprise only.

So if serious listening is the reason you are looking at Hootsuite, you are looking at an Enterprise quote, not $99 a seat. The social listening tools roundup compares the dedicated options with prices.

The trial and other small print

Trial. 14 days, no credit card, and no automatic charge when it ends. Trial accounts have daily posting limits of 10 to 20 posts per organisation depending on plan, and bulk scheduling is switched off. Plan your test around real posting, not a bulk upload.

Add-ons. The comparison table has an add-ons section, but no add-on prices were shown.

Discounts. Some plans carry a nonprofit discount. No other discount was advertised.

Cheaper ways to run social and watch rivals

The Hootsuite alternatives page covers these in more depth. Prices from each vendor's own page, also read on 4 October 2026:

The closest like-for-like is Sprout Social; Sprout Social pricing breaks it down and Sprout Social vs Hootsuite compares the two.

If your main interest in Hootsuite was keeping an eye on competitors' Instagram and Facebook, Figo covers that with their ads, new pages and reviews in one Monday email, at $49 a month for three competitors. Ours, so judge accordingly. It does not publish, schedule or reply, so it is no substitute for a scheduler. The competitor social media guide shows how to do the watching by hand first.

Should you pay for Hootsuite?

For one person running a brand's social, Standard at $99 a month is fair if you use the inbox and scheduling daily. For a team of three it is $297 a month at minimum, and at that point the cheaper per-brand and per-channel tools above deserve a trial first. Move to Professional only when you outgrow 10 accounts, not for features you might use.

Questions people ask

Does Hootsuite have a free plan?

No. The plans page lists Standard, Professional, Advanced and Enterprise, all paid. The nearest thing is the 14 day trial, which needs no card.

Is Hootsuite cheaper if I pay monthly?

No, the opposite. The published prices assume annual billing, and Hootsuite's FAQ says monthly billing costs more per user. The page did not show the monthly figure.

Does Hootsuite include Talkwalker?

Hootsuite says it acquired Talkwalker in April 2024 and describes its listening as powered by Talkwalker. Basic listening is in the paid plans and advanced listening is an Enterprise feature.

Can I add just one extra user to Hootsuite?

Yes. Every plan is sold per seat and the page says you can buy as many seats as you need, so a second person adds one more seat at your plan's price.
