Mangools vs Semrush: KWFinder or the full suite?

Mangools vs Semrush compared: KWFinder against Semrush on keyword data, rank tracking, seats and price (Mangools bills in euros), and who should pick which.

Mangools vs Semrush is a choice between a small, easy keyword toolset and a large marketing suite. Mangools bundles KWFinder for keyword research with a rank tracker, a SERP checker and light backlink and site metrics, from €37.70 a month billed annually. Semrush's paid plans start at $139 a month, or $117.33 billed annually, and add site audits, daily rank tracking at scale and optional toolkits for traffic and ad research. For one person researching keywords for a few sites, Mangools is enough. For full-time SEO or an agency, Semrush is.

Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 4 October 2026. Mangools showed prices in euros and Semrush in US dollars, so convert at the day's rate before comparing exact numbers.

Mangools' page showed annual billing and did not state a monthly price, so we have not quoted one. The data figures come from Mangools' homepage and Semrush's stats page, which was dated 4 October 2026.

KWFinder vs Semrush for keyword research

KWFinder is the centre of the Mangools bundle. Mangools describes it as keyword ideas "with search volumes and Keyword difficulty", and it supports more than 65,000 city-level locations, which suits local businesses that care about one city rather than a country. Lookups are counted per 24 hours: 100 on Basic, 500 on Premium and 1,200 on Agency.

Semrush's keyword database is more than ten times larger by the two vendors' own figures, across 142 country databases. A bigger database returns more long-tail suggestions and more coverage in smaller markets. For a business targeting a few dozen local terms, KWFinder's database is rarely the limit. The daily lookup cap is: a proper research session for a new site can use 100 lookups before lunch.

Rank tracking: weekly or daily

This is the limit that bites most often. Mangools Basic and Premium update tracked keywords weekly. Only Agency, at €97.70 a month billed annually, updates daily, for up to 1,500 keywords.

Semrush tracks daily from its cheapest plan: 500 keywords on SEO, 1,500 on Pro+ and 5,000 on Advanced, with multi-location and device tracking from Pro+. If you report rankings to a client once a week, weekly updates are fine. If you want to see the effect of a page change the next morning, you need Semrush or Mangools Agency. The rank tracking tools roundup covers trackers that do only this job.

Seats and teams

Mangools Basic is one person, with no extra seats available. Premium allows up to three extra seats and Agency up to five, but the pricing page does not say what a seat costs, so ask before you plan around it.

Semrush lists extra users from $45 a month. Two people on the SEO plan billed monthly comes to $184 a month by our arithmetic, before any toolkit.

What Semrush adds

  • Technical site audits. Site Audit is in the SEO plan. Mangools' tool list (KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner, SiteProfiler) has no audit crawler; SiteProfiler gives an overview of a site's SEO metrics instead.
  • Toolkits beyond SEO. Traffic & Market is $289 a month billed annually and the Advertising toolkit starts at $99 a month billed annually. Neither is in the SEO plan, so do not assume competitor ad research comes with the $139 plan.
  • Scale. Up to 40 websites and 5,000 daily keywords on Advanced.
  • A free plan with one demo project and 10 reports a day, which is a fair way to test it.

Where Mangools is the better buy

  • Price. Mangools Basic is well under half the cost of Semrush's SEO plan billed annually, even after converting euros to dollars.
  • API and MCP access on every plan. Semrush lists API data integration on Advanced.
  • AI search tracking in the base price. Every Mangools plan bundles AI Search Watcher PRO with 500 prompts monitored. Semrush has AI search tracking too, with a daily prompt allowance (50 a day) starting on its $199 Starter plan.
  • Simplicity. Five tools, one login and few settings. Semrush has far more to learn, and much of it you will not need if keywords and rankings are the whole job.

Pick Mangools or Semrush

Pick Mangools if you are one person, or a very small team, researching keywords for a handful of sites, weekly rank updates are fine, and you want the lowest bill for decent data.

Pick Semrush if SEO is a full-time job, you need daily rankings on hundreds of keywords, technical audits, or the option to add traffic and ad research later.

Upgrade within Mangools first if daily rankings are the only thing you are missing. Agency adds daily updates for 1,500 keywords and five extra seats without moving you to a bigger suite.

When neither fits

If you want daily rank tracking at volume without the whole Semrush suite, SE Ranking vs Semrush covers a middle option. If you would rather stay free, Semrush's free plan plus Google Search Console goes further than most people expect, and free Semrush alternatives lists the rest.

The full plan breakdowns are on Mangools pricing and Semrush pricing. If Mangools already feels small, Mangools alternatives compares the step-up options.

Questions people ask

Is KWFinder accurate?

KWFinder's search volumes are estimates, like every keyword tool's, and Mangools does not publish an accuracy rate. Treat volumes as relative and check the handful that matter against Google Keyword Planner or your own Search Console data.

Does Mangools have a free trial?

Its pricing page offers a 48 hour money-back guarantee rather than a trial, and it does not apply to two subscriptions in a row. Semrush has a free plan and a 7 day free trial of its paid plans.

Can Mangools replace Semrush for an agency?

For keyword research and rank tracking on a modest client list, often yes, since Mangools Agency allows five extra seats and daily rank updates. For technical site audits, competitor ad research or traffic analysis, no.

Is Semrush worth the extra money over Mangools?

If you will use the audits, daily tracking and extra toolkits every week, yes. If keyword research and weekly rank checks are the whole job, you would be paying for tools you do not open.
