Competitors App alternatives in 2026

Competitors App is one of the cheapest real competitor monitoring tools on the market, and it deserves more credit than it gets. At $14.90 a month it does things that tools charging ten times as much do not.

Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 19 September 2026.

What it costs

PlanPrice
Business AI$14.90 a month
Business Plus AI$19.90 a month
LinkedIn add-on$6.95 per competitor per month
Extra user$14.95 a month

The add-ons matter. If you track six competitors and want LinkedIn on all of them, that is $41.70 a month on top, which more than triples the base. Price it with the add-ons you will actually use, not from the headline.

What it does well

Email tracking. It subscribes to your competitors' mailing lists and shows you what they send. This is the standout feature and very few tools do it. Seeing a rival's actual promotional calendar is more useful than most analytics.

Website change detection. Page changes, new pages, with screenshots.

Social posting. Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn as a paid add-on.

Price. Under $20 for the base product is unusual in this category, where $99 to $400 is normal.

Where it stops

Paid ads. Ad coverage is thin compared to tools built for it. If knowing exactly which Google, Meta and TikTok creatives are live is central to your work, this is not the depth you want.

Search data. Keyword and ranking coverage is light. It is a change detector, not an SEO platform.

AI visibility. Not covered, which is fair enough since the category barely existed two years ago, but it is now a real gap.

Interpretation. You get a feed of changes. Deciding which of the 40 things that happened this week matters is your job.

The alternatives

ToolFromBest atWatch out for
Competitors App$14.90/moEmail tracking, cheap change detectionAdd-ons, thin ads and search data
VisualpingFree, then $14/moPrecise page change alertsOne page per monitor, no context
KompyteNo public priceEnterprise battlecards and sales enablementSales call, enterprise pricing
Semrush$139/moSearch and paid search depthPrice, and it does not watch social or email
Figo$49/moNine channels plus AI answers, written weeklyNewer, no email tracking

Visualping is the cheapest way to watch specific pages. Free for a small number of checks, then $14, $50, $100 and $250 a month. It will tell you a pricing page changed. It will not tell you what changed commercially or what to do about it.

Kompyte is the enterprise end: battlecards, Slack alerts, sales enablement, CRM integration. No published price, which means a sales process and an enterprise contract.

Semrush at $139, $199, $299 and $549 a month is a different animal. Deep on search and paid search, nothing on email, social posts or product changes.

Where Figo sits

Honest version: Competitors App is cheaper, and if email tracking is the feature you came for, buy it. We do not do that.

Figo is $49 a month for three competitors, $99 for eight, $249 for twenty across five client workspaces. What you get for the difference:

Ads properly. Google, Meta and TikTok ad libraries checked weekly, with creatives, landing pages, first and last seen dates, and verification that the advertiser is actually the company you are tracking rather than a name match.

Search data included. Rankings, traffic estimates, new and lost keywords, top pages, keyword gap against your own site.

AI visibility. Twenty buyer questions asked across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity every week, recording who gets named. Nobody else in this price range does this.

A written briefing. Monday morning, plain English, what changed and what we think it means. Not a feed to interpret.

No per competitor add-ons. The price on the page is the price.

If your budget is genuinely $15 a month, Competitors App is the right answer and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. If you have $49 and want ads, search and AI answers covered properly, that is what we built.

Questions people ask

What does Competitors App cost?

Two published plans read on 19 September 2026: Business AI at $14.90 a month and Business Plus AI at $19.90 a month. LinkedIn tracking is a $6.95 per competitor per month add-on and extra users are $14.95 each.

Is Competitors App good?

For the money it is one of the better deals in the category, especially the email tracking. The limits are depth on paid ads and search data, and add-ons that inflate the sticker price.

What is the main thing it does that others do not?

It subscribes to a competitor's mailing list and shows you their emails. Almost nobody else does that, and it is genuinely useful.

Does it track AI recommendations?

No. If you want to know whether ChatGPT names you when buyers ask, that is a separate capability and very few tools have it yet.
