SpyFu pricing: the $59 first month and what follows

SpyFu pricing starts at $39 a month for Basic, then Pro + AI at $59 for the first month and $119 a month after, and Team/Agency at $249, all billed monthly. Pay annually and the same plans cost $29, $89 and $187 a month, a 25% saving. There is no free trial, but every plan has a 30 day money-back guarantee.

Basic caps searches and exports at 10,000 rows and allows one live site tracking project and 10 automated reports. Pro + AI removes the row caps, allows 10 projects and 100 reports, and adds API access, white label reports and a Google Search Console connection. Team/Agency makes projects and reports unlimited.

The $59 first month, explained

The offer applies to Pro + AI on monthly billing only. You pay $59 for month one and $119 every month after.

Over a year that is $1,368 on our arithmetic, against $1,068 on annual billing at $89 a month. So the first-month offer is a cheap way to try Pro, and annual billing is the cheaper way to keep it.

Basic or Pro + AI: the history question

SpyFu's main draw is history. Pro + AI shows more than 10 years of a competitor's paid and organic keyword data, so you can see what they bid on and when they stopped.

Basic has no historical data at all. It shows you a competitor's keywords and ads today, which free tools partly cover too. If history is why you came to SpyFu, Basic is the wrong plan and Pro + AI is the real price.

Users and the Team plan

Pro + AI includes one user. Extra users cost $30 a month on Pro + AI and Team/Agency, and the comparison table lists $15 on Basic.

For a team of three on Pro + AI, that is $179 a month on monthly billing after the first month, on our arithmetic. Team/Agency at $249 includes five users. At five people, Pro + AI plus four seats is $239, so Team/Agency costs $10 more but brings unlimited projects and 50,000 tracked keywords.

The page did not say whether extra users are billed monthly on annual plans, so ask if you are budgeting a year.

Annual billing, refunds and small print

Annual billing saves 25%, which SpyFu presents as three months free.

The guarantee is 30 days, money back, and you can cancel any time. That is better protection than a trial, because you test the full paid product.

API credits worth $40 come with Pro + AI and $100 with Team/Agency. Heavier API use is priced separately on SpyFu's developer site.

AI features. Pro + AI includes RivalFlow, a ChatGPT integration and AI brand monitoring.

Cheaper ways to see competitor ads and keywords

Is SpyFu worth it?

Pro + AI is good value for paid search work, especially on annual billing at $89 a month. Basic is hard to recommend because it leaves out the history that makes SpyFu different. For a one-off competitor review, one $59 month with the refund behind it is the cheapest serious option on this page.
