Sprout Social pricing: what a team of three really pays
Sprout Social pricing runs $79 to $399 per seat a month on annual billing, or $99 to $499 monthly. Plans, add-ons and what a team of three pays a year.
Sprout Social pricing runs from $79 to $399 per seat a month on annual billing, across Essentials, Standard, Professional and Advanced. Billed monthly, the same plans cost $99 to $499 per seat. Enterprise is quoted. Listening and Premium Analytics are paid add-ons with no published price, and every figure multiplies by the number of people on the account.
Prices below were read from sproutsocial.com/pricing on 4 October 2026.
Sprout Social pricing, plan by plan
| Plan | Per seat, annual billing | Per seat, monthly billing | Social profiles | Competitor reports |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $79 | $99 | 5 | No |
| Standard | $199 | $249 | 5 | No |
| Professional | $299 | $399 | Unlimited | Yes |
| Advanced | $399 | $499 | Unlimited | Yes |
| Enterprise | Quote | Quote | Unlimited | Yes |
Annual billing is about 20% cheaper than monthly. Essentials is the newest plan and the only one under $100 a seat.
What a team of three pays
This is where the per-seat model bites. Three seats on our arithmetic:
| Plan | Annual billing, per month | Monthly billing, per month | Per year on annual billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $237 | $297 | $2,844 |
| Standard | $597 | $747 | $7,164 |
| Professional | $897 | $1,197 | $10,764 |
| Advanced | $1,197 | $1,497 | $14,364 |
Those figures are before Listening or Premium Analytics, which are priced separately. A team of three that wants competitor reports and listening is starting at about $10,764 a year plus an add-on quote.
Where the Sprout Social tiers split
Essentials, $79. Five social profiles and 100 AI agent credits per seat a month, with no brand keywords. It is the plan for one brand with modest needs.
Standard, $199. Still five profiles, now with 10 brand keywords per group. The big jump from Essentials buys those keywords and access to the add-ons, since Listening and Premium Analytics are sold to Standard and above.
Professional, $299. Unlimited profiles and the Facebook, X and Instagram competitor reports. For most teams buying Sprout to understand rivals, this is the real entry plan.
Advanced, $399. Unlimited profiles and 20 brand keywords per group. On the plan card, the doubled keyword allowance is the main step up. Do not buy it for competitor work, which Professional already covers.
Add-ons and other costs
- Listening. An add-on for Standard and up. No price on the page, demo required.
- Premium Analytics. Also an add-on for Standard and up, unpriced. It includes custom comparisons for benchmarking.
- Trellis Plus. Extra AI credits at $28 per user a month on annual billing or $35 monthly.
- Employee Advocacy, Professional Services and Influencer Marketing. Sold separately, no published prices.
Every unpriced add-on is a sales conversation, so treat the plan price as the floor, not the total.
The 30 day trial
Sprout's trial runs 30 days and needs no credit card, twice the 14 days Hootsuite gives you. Use it to test the one thing you are paying for. If that is competitor reports, start the trial on Professional and add your three closest rivals in week one.
There is no free plan after the trial.
Cheaper ways to do the same job
The Sprout Social alternatives page covers the full field. The short version, with prices from each vendor's own page on 4 October 2026:
- Hootsuite starts at $99 per user a month annual and includes basic listening and five-competitor benchmarking on its entry plan. See Hootsuite pricing.
- Agorapulse is $79 per user a month annual on Standard, with competitor benchmarking on Advanced at $149.
- Metricool prices by brand rather than seat: free for one brand with five competitor profiles, then $20 a month annual for five brands.
For competitor analysis alone, the social media competitor analysis tools roundup has options that cost less than a Professional seat, and the social listening roundup covers listening with published prices.
If the reason you want Professional is to see what competitors post on Instagram and Facebook, Figo reports that every Monday alongside their ads, new pages and reviews, at $49 a month for three competitors. Ours, so judge accordingly. It does not schedule, publish or run an inbox, so it replaces the competitor reports, not Sprout.
Our take
Sprout Social is good software priced for teams with a social budget line. One person on Essentials at $79 is reasonable. Three people on Professional at nearly $11,000 a year is a decision to make with the add-on quotes in hand and a clear answer to who needs a seat.
