The best Ubersuggest alternatives in 2026
Ubersuggest is cheap, but tight limits and a non-refundable lifetime deal push people away. The Ubersuggest alternatives worth paying for, at today's prices.
Ubersuggest is one of the cheapest SEO tools around, so the best Ubersuggest alternatives are rarely cheaper. People move because one project is not enough, because they want deeper competitor data, or because a countdown is pushing a lifetime deal and they want to compare before paying.
Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 4 October 2026.
What Ubersuggest costs, and the lifetime question
The page we read showed yearly billing, with a limited-time offer of five months free tied to an event countdown:
| Plan | Billed annually | Users | Projects | Tracked keywords per project | Searches per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Individual | $16/mo ($192/yr) | 1 | 1 | 125 | 150 |
| Business | $27.17/mo ($326/yr) | 2 | 7 | 150 | 300 |
| Enterprise | $54.75/mo ($657/yr) | 5 | 15 | 300 | 900 |
Monthly prices were not shown in what we could read, and the yearly ones depend on the offer still running. Add-ons are $5 a month each, covering extra users, projects, tracked keywords, competitor domains and searches. There is a free account and a one-time 7 day free trial on monthly plans.
Then there is the lifetime plan. The page pushes it hard ("Save 90% off with lifetime access. Offer ends soon!" with a countdown timer), and three facts from the same page matter more than the banner:
- Lifetime purchases are final and non-refundable.
- The lifetime plan has its own usage limits. You are buying today's allowance forever, not whatever the top plan offers later.
- Ubersuggest itself recommends using the free trial first. Take the advice.
A fair rule: if the lifetime price is less than two years of the plan you would really use, and you are sure you will still want the tool in year three, it is a reasonable bet. If you are buying it because the timer is running, do not.
Why people look for Ubersuggest alternatives
One project on Individual. Two websites means Business or an add-on.
Shallow competitor work. Five competitor domains and 125 tracked keywords is a starting kit. Once competitor research is a weekly habit, you hit the edges.
No API. The pricing page says so plainly.
Prices that move. Between yearly offers, lifetime offers and countdowns, it is hard to know what the next renewal costs.
The fair side: for a single small site, Ubersuggest covers keyword ideas, rank tracking, a site audit and a basic competitor view for less than almost anything else, and the $5 add-ons let you buy only what you need.
Tools like Ubersuggest, compared
| Tool | From | Best at | Publishes prices |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ahrefs Starter | $29/mo (monthly) | Ahrefs data at an entry price | Yes |
| SpyFu | $39/mo monthly, $29 annual | Competitor keyword and ad history | Yes |
| Mangools | €37.70/mo (annual) | Easy keyword research | Yes |
| Moz Pro Starter | $49/mo (monthly) | One website, Moz metrics | Yes |
| Serpstat | $50/mo (monthly) | Team logins and API | Yes |
| Semrush | Free plan, then $139/mo | The full suite | Yes |
SpyFu, for competitor history
SpyFu Basic is $39 a month billed monthly or $29 billed annually, with one tracking project and 5,000 weekly tracked keywords but no historical data. Pro + AI is $59 for the first month then $119 a month, or $89 billed annually, and opens 10+ years of a competitor's keyword and ad history. Our SpyFu alternatives page covers its weak spots.
Pick SpyFu if the reason you open Ubersuggest is to see what competitors rank and bid on.
Mangools, for keyword research that feels quick
Mangools Basic is €37.70 a month billed annually (it showed us euros), with 100 keyword lookups a day, 200 tracked keywords updated weekly, and a light backlink tool. There is a 48 hour money-back guarantee instead of a trial.
Pick Mangools if you are one person who mainly does keyword research and wants a simple interface.
Ahrefs Starter and Moz Starter, for a big-name entry plan
Ahrefs lists a $29 a month Starter plan ("see what people search and spy on competitors") and Moz a $49 a month Starter plan for a single website. Neither pricing page lists the limits, so try before you commit. The bigger comparison is in Ubersuggest vs Ahrefs.
Pick one of these if you want a known index behind your numbers and can live with an entry-level allowance.
Serpstat, for small teams
Individual is $50 a month on monthly billing. Team at $100 includes three users, unlimited projects and API access, which Ubersuggest does not sell at all. The 7 day trial needs a $1 card verification.
Pick Serpstat if two or three people need logins and you want the data out through an API.
Semrush, when SEO becomes the job
The free plan gives 10 reports a day. Paid starts with the SEO plan at $139 a month or $117.33 billed annually. It is several times Ubersuggest's price and plays in a different league, as Ubersuggest vs Semrush sets out.
Pick Semrush if you now spend more hours in SEO tools than out of them.
Free first
Google Search Console shows your own site's queries, clicks and positions for nothing. Google Keyword Planner, free inside a Google Ads account, gives volume estimates. Between them and Semrush's free reports, a lot of small sites never need a paid tool.
What Figo does not replace
Ours, so judge accordingly. Figo is not an SEO tool. It has no keyword ideas, no site audit and no backlinks, so it is not a substitute for Ubersuggest.
The overlap is narrow. Figo tracks competitors' Google keyword positions and estimated organic traffic each week, alongside their new pages, ads, pricing and reviews, in a Monday briefing at $49 a month for three competitors. Useful if watching rivals is the job; no help with your own keyword research.
When Ubersuggest is enough
- One small site, one person. Individual's limits fit, and at the offer price no paid tool here costs less.
- You are learning SEO. The free account and a monthly trial are a cheap way to find out what you actually need.
- You need a few specific extras. The $5 add-ons are a tidy way to grow without changing plan.
Every plan and add-on is in Ubersuggest pricing.
The short answer
For competitor history, SpyFu. For simple keyword research, Mangools. For a team with an API, Serpstat. For full-time SEO, Semrush. Stay on Ubersuggest if one small site is the whole job, and think hard before buying lifetime access on a countdown.
Questions people ask
Is the Ubersuggest lifetime deal worth it?
Only if you have used Ubersuggest on the monthly trial first and are confident you will still use it in three years. Lifetime purchases are final and non-refundable, and the lifetime plan comes with its own usage limits.
Is Ubersuggest free?
Partly. A free account gives more keyword suggestions, weekly rank tracking and SEO suggestions than using it signed out, but Ubersuggest does not publish the free account's limits. Paid plans add projects, tracked keywords and daily searches.
Does Ubersuggest have an API?
No. Its pricing page says it has no API access plans at the moment. Serpstat includes an API from its $100 a month Team plan.
Is Ubersuggest as good as Semrush?
No, and it is not priced to be. Ubersuggest is a budget all-rounder for one or two people; Semrush is a much deeper suite at several times the price.
